This morning we went to the doctor’s office to get Lily some pink-eye meds. Squiggles went to preschool, but Ivy came with us for the adventure. She listened patiently as the pediatrician explained what conjunctivitis is, how it is spread, and how we should treat it with erythromycin. Occasionally she would smile and nod politely. The doctor finally asked if we had any questions.
Ivy thought for a second, and then said (in the most professional 3-year-old voice ever), “I do have a question. I was wondering if you have any stickers or treats for, like, little kids.”
That’s how she got a fairy sticker.

Tonight we had loads of fun making holiday cards for our friends. I was editing my card and asking everybody what they thought.
Calvin: Umm… I don’t really like your eyebrows. How you made them so black...
Me: Hmmm… turn around and look at me.
Calvin: Oh. You still have them.
Me: Yeah, that’s how they’ve always been.
Calvin: You mean those are real?
Bryn: I guess we know what’s going on the blog tonight!

I often have questions about where I can get treats. Ivy is concerned about the important things.
As for you eyebrows...embrace them Laura!
Oh, I am loving this series! And I second Jill's comments on your eyebrows - I'm jealous of them!
Ha, ha. I like Ivy.
I remember a certain friend of mine (*cough*Carrie*cough*), thought you didn't like her because of those eyebrows. Good times.
I don't know why the doctor doesn't have sticker and treats for, like, grownups. Sometimes it would be really nice to be handed a Dove chocolate bar or something like that on the way out.
I love your eyebrows. They smolder. And remember, Calvin's the one with invisi-brows and lashes, so of course black is extreme to him.
