Three months today – that can’t be right. But it is. I’m already grieving the loss of my newborn. This child holds her head up: wobbly, but proudly. She smiles, coos, giggles, and yells at me. It’s hilarious. She is almost always happy, but if I wait a couple seconds too long to feed her or pick her up, she becomes a red-hot, angry, screaming force to be reckoned with. And then turns immediately back into a cooing dove as soon as she gets what she wants.
This girl LOVES bath time. She usually takes a bath with me and/or Squiggles. She loves it when I pour water on her belly with the toy sieve, or when I wash her hair or lather her up.
I love these legwarmers – genius. Her legs stay warm while I change her diaper. Fifty times a day.
I also love this hat – unfortunately, she refuses to keep it on. Her arm movements are still jerky and uncoordinated, but she manages to get the hat off every time.
I think she looks so much like Tim in the next photo, it takes my breath away.
Her legs kill me – I love squishing and kissing her chubby little cheeks and arms and belly and thighs. She giggles and coos with delight.
Did I mention she’s a happy baby?
When she’s not sleeping, that is. She sleeps 15 or 20 hours a day. Seriously.
Lily’s tongue was tied when she was born. It took us a couple months to find somebody who would clip her frenulum for us, but we finally did. Nursing is MUCH less painful now, and Lily seems to enjoy sticking our her tongue a great deal (it was impossible before).
This is her blessing dress – I decided it cost too much to wear only once.
Love her in blue.

She is so dog gone cute I can almost see some of my genes in her. Or maybe she is so cute because she did not get a lot of my genes.
Oh my sweetness!!
Fun and beautiful! Enjoy every precious moment. Wish we were closer! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I love that blue outfit so much. Do you think it comes in 32T?
I learn a lot of medical terms when reading your blog. I had to look up "frenulum" after you mentioned it. Very interesting.
