Inspired by my parents’ thrill-seeking adventures (check out The Dickeyfam to see their latest dangerous hike to Angel’s Landing), we decided to take a similar hike around some nearby reservoirs.
The hike pretty much the same as Angel’s Landing (read: there was dirt involved), and had some seriously scary exposures (read: there were a couple rocks that reached at least 8 or 9 inches off the ground). We’re pretty hard-core.
Squiggles was the bravest of all, jumping off cliffs at least two or three inches high and running about like a wild child.
We couldn’t have completed our four-mile journey without stopping for sustenance.
Squiggles decided the dirt made a right-fine plate. I tried to explain about nematodes and spore-formers, but she wasn’t really interested.
Finally it was time to head back.
We said goodbye to the wilderness and drove the five-minute road home.

Every rock is an adventure and a child who is not frightened of your nematodes and spore-formers is truly a wonder! Looks like fun to me for the entire family.
You cannot take your eyes off that daredevil for one second. Soon she'll be wandering off the trail and passing on the right if you're not careful.
Last time I checked nematodes and spore-formers were known to be really good for toddlers.
You guys are adventurous!
*Sigh* We love the Fells too. So much that we've sort of been eying houses near it. And there were some gorgeous days this week!
Now, with such nature - are you sure you don't want to stay in Boston once school is all said and done?
Dirt does not matter when camping or hiking. ;)
I love the Fells. You guys are great adventurers
The fells is the second scarist hike I have ever been on (Angels Landing being the first). Glad I did not have to do the hike with you. I have had enough adventure for the month.
