Yeah, Daniele and I were helping Abigail Washburn sing a couple tunes (along with the other hundred people in the audience, but nevermind them).
For my birthday, we went to see my favorite claw hammer banjoist. I love her about 50% for her music, and about 50% for her hair. I adore the way random curls jut out here and there, refusing to be tamed. It totally fits her personality, which I know because we got to hang out after the show, so we’re practically BFF.
Seriously, she was really cool. It was such a good show, and if you don’t know her, I suggest you start here (click the play button for “Last Train” or “Rockabye Dixie” or “Coffee’s Cold”).
The concert was at the Fall River Center for the Arts, where there was a surprisingly awesome Lego display. These are a couple of my favorites:
We had a blast – it was such a great night.

Concerts or so fun. Thanks for introducing me to a new artist. I'm always looking for good ones.
Was that you? I thought I heard a familiar voice. ;) I'll have to give Ms. Washburn a listen.
I think there is a definite chance of us doing back up on her next album! Also! I can pick you up an Oglivie home perm, so that you too can cultivate a wild and wonderful AW hair-do.
You're more famous than her!
YOU are who I look up to! I just love you to pieces!!!!
Doesn't Daniele know about your history with perms? Because you have one. Looks you had a lovely evening!!
