My friend Tim surprised me with 3rd-row! tickets to see the goddess called Dar Williams as an early birthday present. The concert was in Great Barrington, MA; a charming little town in the Berkshires that seemed to be full of pretentious, quasi-environmentalists. Dar was fabulous and since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to climb Mt. Greylock (highest mountain in Massachusetts).I'm resigned to being born and so resigned to bravery.

The next to last one is a really good picture of dear Timothy. Looks like it was fun. I'm so, so sorry I missed it. (Don't you believe me?)
Don't worry, Erin. Next time we decide to rough it in the mountains with no shower, toilet, pizza delivery, or internet, we will make sure it's on a weekend that you don't have other commitments. And we'll insist that you come.
Don't cheat on your pullover. That would be tragic! It's so soft and wonderful.
O.K. Who the heck is Tim? I don't think you should spring a new person in your life on us through a random blog entry. He must truly love you if he's buying you tickets to Dar! Does your pull-over know about Tim?
My apologies Jill. Tim isn't a new person in my life - we've been good friends for a couple years as we've been suffering through our adventure in higher education together. He's the one who gave me an entire bag of lip balms / chapsticks last year for Christmas in an effort to keep me from ripping my lips off my face during class. It didn't work.
Okay - that looks like serious fun! Gorgeous autumn leaf photo there at the end (the one with the non-posing Tim) - the leaves in the background look like they're on fire! Brilliant.
Laura, I wish I was even half as clever as you! Looks like it was a fun time!

I wish I could have been at that Dar Williams concert with you - Tim move out of the way - Laura is my Dar Williams friend. But since I am half a country away, and saddled down with a small offspring and graduate school to go to and Tim obviously has good enough taste to buy you the tickets, I guess it's a good thing you had such a good time and all. I miss you BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
Glad to see you are out there doing what I wish Brian and I were doing right now! Desk jobs suck!
