Announcement

David and Lynette Dickey are relieved to announce the marriage of their daughter

Laura Leigh

to

Polartec Stretch Pullover

son of Recreational Equipment Inc. The couple met in Boston and fell madly in love while backpacking in the Berkshires.

Though the bride-to-be has courted many warm pullovers in the past, none offered the softness and flexibility that she longed for.

The happy couple will reside in Boston, MA until Ms. Dickey fails her qualifying exams again, at which point they will live in a tent in her mother's backyard. No formal reception will be held.

I hope I get to be the Matron of Honor, and I hope my dress/ stylish pant suit is made of polartec fleece. I wish both of you all the best, and I must say that I saw this coming from a long way off, ever since I saw the way Mr. Pullover sweetly clung to your waist on a warm bikeride.

I love it! The sky blue matches with your skin tone.

Is this a mail order type of relationship? If so, where and how do I get me such a companion? I'm feeling the need for some polartec love these days.

I'm so happy that you finally posted again and that the post was so entertaining.

Wohoo! Congratulations, Laura! It is good to see that you are still alive and well, and I am glad that you've finally found the fleece of your dreams. Please remember that you are a most beloved friend and if you fail your QEs, you can come live in our spare bedroom. It's better than a tent, but you will have to share a bathroom with the kids ;)

Great to hear from you!

I love your hair color, also. As your mother it is always important to see which shade it is today! I really do have a spare bedroom since the backyard may become white in the next few weeks. Do you look good in white?

Lovely couple. He does look soft and flexible...and warm! Please keep me posted where you two will be living post-qualifying exams. I forbid you to leave Boston for a tented back-yard without spending some quality friend-time with me! :-)
Mr. Pullover is welcome at the activities as well, of course.

Oh, and by-the-way: It goes without saying that I do not think for one second that you will have to resort to a tent in the back yard. You will pass your exams, I'm positive!

Finally, the perfect relationship. What does the fleece get out of it though?

That is very silly.
You don't hug sweaters, but you are.
