Friday in the park with Squiggles

We’re in Virginia visiting Tim’s sister for a minivacation.  Not to brag, but it was 75 degrees yesterday.  We took a heavenly walk (without so much as a jacket!) to the park.  Squiggles had her first solo ride in a swing:

Do you think she liked it?

I also made her swing with me, of course.

Tim and Gus  took her down the slide several times.

And some friendly stranger let us play with her dog.  Squiggles liked the dog until she experienced her first slobbery face lick, at which point she wanted to admire her from a distance.  IMG_1409

That's so mean!!! Just how the heck could you make your child swing when she clearly hates it with the fires of a thousand hecks.

It's freezing and windy as all get out here. I hope you're enjoying all the lovely weather there you jerks.

:)

I'm with Cami, I hope you are enjoying the nice weather. . .jerks. Sorry, I had to! I'm so craving spring, which almost was here in Utah earlier this week, but then it snowed and all my hopes went down the drain, at least for now.

You have one adorable little girl.

That picture of you holding her in the swing might be the most awesomest picture of you I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of pictures of you.

Wait. I take that back. The one of you in the swing in your long blue jean skirt is still my favorite.

The playground looks awesome, though. And Squiggles looks like she had a blast.

I think I see swings in her future . . . maybe a trapeze artist? You should have stopped here for warm weather . . . we were in the 70s on Thursday and Friday. And then winter came back. On the wings of 40 mph winds. So I guess Virginia was a better deal after all.

She hates swinging so bad.

Can't wait to squish her cheeks in a month. We're going to be best friends. I know it.

Grandpa Dave: We are still skiing and shoveling snow and freezing and hoping it gets up to 28 degrees some day. The smiles on everyones faces did warm my heart even though my feet are still cold. Danged old age anyway.

Laura, I shoveled snow the size of boulders, off my sidewalk this past weekend. Said boulders were kindly put there by the city snowplow.

So, I ask you, "Who's jealous of the weather now?" Ha, I bet it's you. :)

75 degrees? You make me so stinkin' MAD!!! ;) JK. (Well...sort of).

Squiggles is a natural at the swing. A gymnast in the making!

Did you get to see any of those famous cherry blossoms?
