Ahem...

To the person who:
  • Has done 100% of my laundry for the past 3 months, including towels, linens, and kitchen rags (and according to my ridiculously picky specifications)
  • Has made me dinner a finity times, even if it meant running to the grocer at the last second to buy orange jello and/or Lipton soup and/or butternut squash and/or saltines and/or peach yogurt

  • Gives me a ride to school every day, even though it costs a hundred thousand dollars per hour to park at the BU garage

  • Has held my hair out of my face many times while I’ve returned my breakfast / lunch / dinner to the good earth

  • Empties my mop bucket / throws away my freezer bag (see previous item)

  • Drives slowly around corners, and accelerates and decelerates gently, even though he is categorically opposed to driving like a 90-year-old

  • Carries my book bag (well… laptop bag) to class (lab) every day

  • Dusted my bookshelves… with Pledge

  • Cleaned my bathroom, including toilet scrubbing

  • Cleaned my kitchen

  • Cleaned my living room

  • Cleaned my bedroom

  • Drove to three different grocery stores in search of banana-flavored ice cream popsicles (the east coast has never even heard of monkey bars… so ridiculous)

  • Disposed of the rotten blocking solution in my lab before my safety inspection so I wouldn’t get in trouble
  • Tells me I look pretty when I haven't washed my hair for three days and clearly look like a truck.

  • Watched Grey’s Anatomy with me. Twice. Even though he much would rather empty puke buckets…

  • Gives me a reason to keep smiling every day.

Thank you.

Lovely post, Laura! Tim really is a great guy. And I'm so happy that you are happy! (hope you get feeling better soon . . .)

That's the sweetest thing I've ever read!

By my calculations, since you both work pretty much all the time, at the going rate you now owe a finity of dollars to the BU parking garage. Maybe you should buy a helicopter.

He's a swell guy. I'll add this to the list: played and played with my kids even though they're really caffeinated hyenas in child disguises.

Perfect Laura. Good choice.

And, as shown in the picture in this particular post, he is also good with children, which will come in handy in the near future. Tim is a very useful guy. Mike also cleans of puke. That's why I keep him around.

yes, I agree... he sounds practically perfect... keep him around! I love your blog and I laughed while reading your last post about being born with a good sense of smell. I remember sitting outside and you'd say "what's that smell?" we all smelled nothing but you insisted and would start sniffing around "I know there's an earwig, I can smell him" you would say and sure enough there was always an earwig hiding near by. "can't you smell them, they stink so bad!" you would say looking at us like we were crazy!! to this day every time I see an earwig I give a little sniff wondering if they really stink like you said :)

the good old days :)
so glad I have such great memories with you!

You found yourself a winner!

AND you've never looked like a truck...

AND the East Coast hasn't heard of a great many things and will forever live in infamy because of it...

AND is Calvin's hair getting redder by the day or is it just reflecting off the Basketballs in his PJs?

Uh oh, now I think I'm in love with Tim too! He sounds great Laura.
FYI- Monkey bars are 15 cents at Maceys. I'll treat you to one, heck at that price make it two...or three next time you are in the neighborhood. =)

What a catch! I'm so excited for you!!!

Go Tim! Everyone's going to adopt you! You're the man. Thanks for rescuing my child because I'm not around and I think she prefers you!

Aaaaaw...how sweet.

My favorite thing about Tim is his sheepish smile when you say something nice and/or embarrassing to him. (You know, 'cause I have no kids to let him entertain.)

Awww What a sweet post! Love it! I feel like I can't blog as much or check blogs with two little kids taking my time, but it's soo worth it having my beautiful bundles of joy around! Glad to hear that I am not the only one he thinks my kids are super cute! Hee hee! They are so fun!
