Almost perfect

One of Michael's favorite things to tease me about ("just stating facts," he will tell you) is his observation that I rarely make anything requiring heat without scorching it beyond recognition. I had Cami's family over for Sunday dinner:

I did not burn the rolls.

I did not burn the chicken.

I did not burn the cake, and I did not burn the jello (data not shown).

D'oh!

Don't be so hard on yourself sister. I remember that pan of brownies you made once that weren't burnt.

I believe you burnt the arm. Hopefully you had a few witnesses that you actually baked the other items. I want to believe it, but it's kind of like if you were to call me up tomorrow and tell me you're married... I guess there's always a chance.

Hey--I love that you can cook. The rest will come. Great post! Great comment, Cami!

Well, you definitely bake better than me, but ouch! Such a price. Looks like the last time I made bacon from scratch in my smoker. The bacon was awesome, my forearm didn't fare quite as well. We miss you, and want you to know that you're welcome to burn yourself in our kitchen anytime.
