This is my sis.
Most of my readers (all five of you) know Cami. Just in case you don’t, I’ll sum up the essence of Cami by saying that she pretty much can do anything in the world.
She is the smartest person ever. Nobody will dispute it.
She is extremely athletic – I won’t list all her talents in this regard because it would take too long, but I think soccer, running, biking, kayaking, playing basketball, hiking, hang gliding, rock climbing, waterfall rappelling, and spelunking are her favorites. But she can do everything. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn she holds black belts in all the martial arts, and works as a ninja in her spare time.
She is also the funniest person ever. My favorite thing about her is that whenever the conversation gets too serious or sad or contentious, she says something absurdly funny and suddenly everybody is in jovial spirits again.
She’s musical, she’s artsy, she’s even crafty.
But… there’s a part of Cami you don’t know about. She’s really, really nice. Basically, she made sure I graduated. During graduate school, I moved SIX times, broke off an engagement, got married, had two horrifying pregnancies (ick, ick, puke, ick), had a premature infant, and stubbed my toes. Several times. Cami helped me through it all. She cleaned my house when I was sick, took care of my preemie while I went to school, brought Mike’s Pastries to my committee meetings, helped me with my homework, helped me with my departmental presentations, and made me about a finity homemade meals. I just love her so much it makes me cry every time I think about it. I would have not have graduated without her help. I wouldn’t have. I’m so grateful. Sooooooooooooo grateful. She’s the best.
AND IT’S HER BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
Happy birthday, Sis. I love you, truly.
P.S. Lance helped with all those things, too. But his birthday isn’t until June.
